Shane:
The rules of forum-based chess at these forums are the same as the rules for normal chess.
The rules for four-handed chess are also as it says on the page. - Taylor
The notation used in chess can be read up on at Wikipedia, although I will add a thread here with the chess rules and chess notation, to make things a bit more easier.

TWO-PLAYER CHESSBOARD:

FOUR-PLAYER CHESSBOARD:

I think I missed something, I'm not sure. :-\

I also need someone to help out with the "sprites" for the chess units.

1 King (Black, White, Red, Blue)
1 Queen (Black, White, Red, Blue)
2 Bishops (Black, White, Red, Blue)
2 Rooks (Black, White, Red, Blue)
2 Knights (Black, White, Red, Blue)
8 Pawns (Black, White, Red, Blue)

Taylor:
Awesome. :))
I'm so going to play against you, Shane. :3

@v: I approve. ;D

Dr. Time:
Chess? That's AWESOME :3

Wayne:
How big would the sprites have to be, and from which perspective? Up, or side?

Taylor:
Well, if I have to guess, each square is about 50x50 pixels, if the chessboard is 400x400 pixels.
So I'd say each sprite should be about 40x40 pixels.
But that's Shane's decision.

As for perspective, I'd say that up would be best.
Again, that's Shane's decision.
