Alrighty children,get around. Grandpa Time is gonna give a review. A quick one.

Firstly, I must say, I expected more participation :/
Only 4 entries. Eh, it's still something, I guess.

Okay, part by part review.
Each will consist of 2 parts.
1.Concept- What your sprite is meant to show, and how clearly you've shown it.
2.Overall sprite- You get what I mean here. Choice of colors, contrast,etc.

Lemme begin.

KarjamP- Representing the Pizza element.


What? Pac-man?

Concept- Pizza element. Pizza.
I mean, the shape and the slice (representing Pac-Man's mouth) represents the Pizza element. But the sprite is too simple.
Quick MS paint edit.
You could've put more effort into the sprite, although it represents the Pizza element a bit, if not completely.

Overall sprite- No. Paint edit with nothing to critique on. Sorry.

Verdict- More effort was needed :/ Although representation will suffice, sprite needs more work. A Lot more work.

Wayne- Representing Quintessence


I'll admit, I did not understand the pic at first, as I posted here. After Wayne himself explained to me, I saw that this sprite had a greater meaning than the eye saw.

Concept- Very well done. The concept is very clearly established. With the "black star" as the middle, representing Quintessence, and revolving around it is everything else...Really good job, Wayne.Now the question remains- Have you made it too complicated?

Overall Sprite- Really seems like a re-sized drawing than a sprite. :/ Still, the concept is far better than the sprite imo.

Verdict- Awesome concept that's well established, sprite is lacking though.

Bla Bla Bla 44- Representing Fire


TBH, my expectation was that you'd make a pretty good sprite. Let's see if you succeeded.

Concept- Why do I feel like every time there is the representation of "Fire" in a sprite, they always use that pose? I feel like it's too mainstream. Anyways, still, it's a job well done. Anyone walking in can realize that you're representing fire. So good job on that. Simple yet noticeable.

Overall sprite- For some reason, I feel like the glow is too much. The original color of the jacket was brown, yet now the brown is hardly noticeable.
However, the fire looks good. The hair has good contrast, but could have been more complicated.
Overall, good job. But reduce the glow, damnit.

Verdict- Simple and noticeable concept. The sprite is good too, but too much glow imo :/

Dr. Time- Representing Darkness.
