This is the signup thread for my RPG.
Instead of planning the plot and coming up with the character sheets needed for NPCs and enemies, I've decided to just make up a basic plotline and improv the rest as we go along.
Unlike the other RPGs here, this game uses the D6 System by Wild West Games customized to my liking. I recommend you to read it up so that you'd know what we're doing in the game. Download it
]here. (Tell me if you can't download it. WARNING: It's about 32.3MB big.)
Dice rolls can be made using
this tool (group name is "Hero Squad Dice Rolls"). Just tell me the results. Work through the dice room so that I can have proof that you've rolled. Note that the Wild Die is going to be used in the game.
Signup rules is as follows:
1. You can have more than one characters as long as I approve of it.
2. I have the final say on the signup process.
3. Create a character card:
Player Name: Your user name. Used to keep track on whose character is whose even after they've changed their names.
Name: The name of your character.
Age: The age of your character. Used to provide better favor to your character, and doesn't impact gameplay. Can change over time (I'll do it as the GM.) Put "Unknown" if you don't want your character to have a specific age.
Gender: Can be Male, Female, Hermaphrodite, None or Unknown.
Race: The race or species of your character. If I'm not familiar with your race, I'll go ask you. Yes, this includes races from pop culture like the Klingon and the Vulcan. I give the final say on what race you can be.
Biography: A short biography describing your character. As long as it's isn't as long as a book.
Skills: This game uses the "no attributes" optional rule.
In other words, there's no attributes, only skills.
All skills start off as if they have the base attribute of 2 dice (unless otherwise noted from the species you've chose. I get to decide this one).
You have 45 pips (15 dice) to spend on skills.
General skills used for combat are:
- Coordination: AKA Dexterity, tasks which involves hand-eye coordination.
- Endurance: The measure of your body's resistance to any form of attack.
- Reflexes: The speed on what you react to threats and sudden occurance.
- Strength: Represents your character's physical power.
- Dodging: This would be tied to reflexes if we're using attributes, but we're not. Represents how good you're at in dodging.
4. Each character starts out with 1 fate point and 5 character points.
5. Each character has 10 move (10 meters per 5-second combat round) unless otherwise noted from your race. (I'll decide on this one).
6. Character HP is 20 + a Endurance roll (by default, it's 2D, but if you have any points in the Endurance skill, it's increased.)
7. You'd need permission to use an advantage or a disadvantage.
You can ask questions here, if you want to.
