It seems as if Ash always has a gym leader companion with him (this time, Cleremont).

Fun fact: Clemont, one of the protagonists from the Pokemon XY anime, is a gym leader in the game! (thus, making him canonically the youngest gym leader known). He has his gadgets here as well!

He's an electric-type gym leader.
And his sister goes with Clemont to try and find a wife for him. :P
The Aipom arm... wonder if Aipom are in Kalos? ???

... What about Bugsy from Johto? And Candice from Sinnoh (who's about the same age as Zoey, Dawn's Coordinator rival)?
Or am I missing something?
Aidan "the Eternal Darkness" is deceased...
I am still full of sorrow... my boyfriend, dead...

How can you be bored if you're supposed to work on Into the Unknown? o_O"
That's a mystery in itself. :P

Darn typo's. :P

Incidently, Bonnie's in the game as well, but you don't get to battle her (she's with her brother).

And the first two gens aren't the only ones who have their respective pokemon's cry altered for X and Y (Zizagoon's cry's altered). :o

And if this game's description of the watering can's correct, soil to plant berries return.

You know in that previous gens, when the legendaries from even older gens had a remix of their battle theme (ie, the regi's, the weather trio, etc.)?

Well, the Kanto legendaries are no exception to this rule.

"What?" you may ask. "They don't have a legendary theme."

Actually they did.

It was the same as any other wild Pokemon battle.

Therefore, the battle with the Kanto legendaries uses a (epic) remix of said theme:

The Legendary Birds used the Kanto Wild Pokémon Theme in the Gold/Silver remakes, right?
And now, all Kanto Legendaries (except Mew) have it in X and Y.

More information.
Inkay's evolution is weird; how would this work in spin-off games? :o
Also, a weather-based evolution is new, isn't it? Sliggoo evolves at level 55 when it rains.

Updated abilities and new items.
Yes, there exists a Pixie Plate; Arceus can now have a Fairy-type form.
I'm guessing the Lens Case is there to allow Trainers to change eye colors or something; I know nothing about contact lenses. :))

In addition, berry plants get attacked by wild Pokémon. :P
And yeah, Gen III Pokémon have their cries changed since it's for the 3DS.

Also, Pikachu says its name like in the anime. :))

Fun fact: These games introduce the most rivals out of every generations so far, with four rivals.

(More accurately, they're your friends who go on the journey with you. They battle you sometimes).

Another fun fact: like with the 3rd generation main games, your character has recently moved to the region (no truck, though. :P). However, while the third gen protagonists were the child of Norman the gym leader, the protagonist of the 6th gen, in contrast, is the son of the woman named Grace. She's a top Rhyhorn racer. (said Rhyhorn even appears in the front garden!).

Useless fact: Your character starts the game in pajamas that you would eventually change out of. :P

Not to mention that Professor Sycamore battles you every now and then. :P

Another fun fact: like with the 3rd generation main games, your character has recently moved to the region (no truck, though. :P). However, the protagonist of X and Y doesn't have a known father.
(In other words, Disappeared Dad seems to be in effect here as well, with only Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald averting it.)

Useless fact: Your character starts the game in pajamas that you would eventually change out of. :P
And it's impossible to go anywhere without a hat, apparently. :-\

...

I feel like I'm writing a newspaper for some reason. :o

EDIT:
Apparently, in Pokémon X, Team Flare wants to kill all Pokémon instead of humans, and in Pokémon Y Team Flare wants to kill everyone not part of their team.

... Team Flare is pure evil. >:(

Team Flare is even more evil than Team Plasma, in my opinion. :'(

Also, Mega Gardevoir looks as though it's in a wedding dress.
Male Gardevoir would look weird in Mega Evolved state, I guess.

Can't believe I'm actually playing Pokemon X now.

Guess what, guys?

I've actually HAVE that promotional Torchic with that Blazikenite! (despite not finishing the game first, and therefore, not having the national Pokedex).

That's... unexpected.

Let me guess on Taylor's behalf. Your Trainer's name is Richard? :P

So what Pokémon do you have at the moment, aside from Torchic?

Party: Pikachu, Flabebe, Azuril, Ivysaur, Braixen Pidgeotto
Box: Bunnelby, Skitty, Blaziken, Skiddo, Gulpin, Furfou, Doduo

And I'm known as "KarjamP" in the Pokemon world, not "Richard".

I DID, however, made "Richard" into my nickname that the group of friends that travels with me refers to me as.

So, you chose Fennekin as your Kalos starter and Bulbasaur as your Kanto starter, and Torchic as your Hoenn starter. Even if that specific Torchic is event-only.

Fennekin's evolutions are wizard like, that's why.

That, and I like the way he looks.

Just discovered something:

Tapping on Pokemon on the bottom screen allows you to view its attack animations!

RPG Maker isn't free, Taylor. :-\
On the contrary, it's expensive.
I'd never be able to afford it. Not unless it suddenly becomes R1.

Even if it was free, one would need a serial code thing, right?

There is a free version of RPG maker VX Ace called "RPG Maker VX Ace Lite".

Of course, there's some limitations added to it...

And Shane, nice to know about that glitch.

Hopefully, there can be a patch for this game.

Aside from trial versions, I meant. :P

...

Trial versions are too limited, in my opinion.
Just when you start having fun, the trial expires, in some cases. :-\
(I should know; several games I've played were trial-games of 60 minutes. Including Peggle Deluxe and Plants vs Zombies on my previous computer. Just when I start having fun, the trial ends. :( )

And Shane, nice to know about that glitch.

Hopefully, there can be a patch for this game.
There had better, or else Barry will fine them. Hopefully.
If he visits Kalos one day.

Also, Mega Gardevoir looks as though it's in a wedding dress.
Male Gardevoir would look weird in Mega Evolved state, I guess.
Yup, and that's why I always evolve my male Kirlia into Gallade!

Anyone for a Pokémon fangame via RPG Maker?
Hmm...... I don't know. But with ASM Hacking we can make Emerald into a 2D version of X and Y

Apparently, Blue Oak ("Smell ya later!") had visited Kalos by the time the games took place.
I just love Gary/Blue/Dil**** ( :P ) for his stupidity. :P

EDIT:
Apparently, in Pokémon X, Team Flare wants to kill all Pokémon instead of humans, and in Pokémon Y Team Flare wants to kill everyone not part of their team.

... Team Flare is pure evil. >:(

Remember how it was rated Teen?

I guess that's why. Team Flare wanna murder and show blood to the world.
Happy Chinese New Year to all of you at DRPF!

How are you going to program the evolution based upon holding the 3DS upside down, Kush?

Yup! The rumors were right about there existing a Pokemon that evolves that way. (Inkay, to be precise).

And your Vending Machine post heavily implies you have Pokemon X or Y.

If you do, do you want to share friend codes with me?

Whoa whoa whoa.
Remember Feebas?
In Generations III and IV, Feebas' evolution to Milotic depended on its Beauty stat, but in Generation V (and maybe VI), it requires a Prism Scale. (And trade, if I'm not mistaken.)
Ergo, it's possible to give Inkay a different method of evolution at level 30.

...

Which reminds me, I've got to work on my Ice Fortress in Terraria.

It can still evolve via the beauty stat if it was traded to the fifth gen while said stat's at its max.

Fox Wizard, my Fennekin, is now an Delphox, which is fire-psychic.

Curb stop battle on the fighting-type gym!

On another note, got a free Lucario. :)

And Lapras.

GI, being?

You can transfer it to a fifth generation game (if it's not a first or second gen, as that's impossible), subscribe to the Pokemon Bank for a small fee per year (which is actually a great deal) and use the Pokemon transfer app that comes with it to put your Pokemon in the Pokemon Bank.

Then, you'd be able to put it into the game.

It'll reject hacked Pokemon, though (so no Pikachus with ice-typed moves, Shane! :P ).

And yes, my Lucario had a mega stone.

So did my event Torchic and my Bulbasaur.

And yes, my Lapras did had an unique overworld spr- I mean - model, as I was originally planning to replace my Azumaril with it before I've discovered I've grown attached to it.

Incidently, the fight that introduced the mega-evolution (ie, a battle with only said Lucario against the fighting gym leader's lucario) uses a more upbeat remix of the gym battle theme, which is my favorite due to how different it is from the other gym leader themes.

Um.
3DS emulators don't exist yet.
And they really ought to add a villainous team that does experiments on Pokémon, just so that they can be stopped and the Pokémon freed.

...

If I could make a fan game, that would definitely be the main plot of said fan game, with a Pikachu obtained from the start that can learn Ice-type moves as well. (Along with one of the region's starters.)

And yes, my Lucario had a mega stone.

So did my event Torchic and my Bulbasaur.
Therefore, you have three Mega Stones, and I'm guessing it all depends on popularity of Pokémon introduced in Gen VI before they get Mega Evolutions.
Mega Gardevoir looks weird, though. A Shiny Mega Gardevoir, even more so.

And yes, my Lapras did had an unique overworld spr- I mean - model, as I was originally planning to replace my Azumaril with it before I've discovered I've grown attached to it.
Let me guess. Azumarill's cry is entirely different from the one in Generations II - V. :(
I kind-of liked that cry, to be honest.

...

Say, KarjamP?
Have you ever obtained items from wild encounters if your Pokémon used certain moves (like Surf in battles with stalagmites in caves or Air Cutter in battles with trees in various routes)?

The Maril line's cry is not that different to the original, to be honest.

In fact, it only sounds a little bit different.

Otherwise, it's pretty much like its original cries.

BTW, the cries aren't the same as in the Stadium games, and in fact, many actually sound like they're used the old cries as a base for the new cries and just either distort them or make them sound more realistic.

3DS emulators may not exist, but emulators for the V generations do.

IE, if you try to migrate your Pokemon from Black, White, Black 2 or White 2 and it's hacked, it won't allow you to do so.

Also, apparently, Pokemon X and Y keeps its saves on the SD card slot.

And I've heard of that feature where if you use certain moves, you can gain items.

Not interested in that feature, though (and in fact, I didn't gain anything).

Incidently, Eevees are now capturable in the wild (and so is Farfetch'd).

KarjamP?
Wild Eevee could be captured in Black 2 / White 2.
They're even in the New Unova Pokédex. :P

So what are all the current Pokémon you've got in X and Y?
Where are you right now in Pokémon X and Y?

(I'm curious, that's all. ::))

I'm on route 15.

Going to take a census once I've come across a PC box.
