It's officially mentioned now.
It will have news regarding Pokémon X and Y... I just hope it's something good and awesome.
Like, say, ALL the Generation VI Pokémon being revealed.
Aidan "the Eternal Darkness" is deceased...
I am still full of sorrow... my boyfriend, dead...

Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa...

Some sort of shocking news...

- Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise all get Mega Evolutions. (Charizard looks more like a dragon than ever.)
- When a Trainer's bond is strong enough, they can get their Pokémon to Mega Evolve. (Which apparently is the other condition for Mega Evolution.)
- The Pokémon received from Professor Sycamore are not Chespin, Fennekin or Froakie - it's Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle. (That's what the "Press Release" section says right now.)

... So what does that mean for Chespin, Fennekin and Froakie? Does that mean that they are obtained in the post-game? :o

EDIT:
Okay, while I was posting this, that page was updated.

Quote
The unevolved Kanto starter Pokémon will be given by Professor Sycamore at the start of the game after receiving the Kalos starter Pokémon from the player's friend.
So this means... two Starter Pokémon? :o

So that means there will be a second time starters from seperate generations are in the same regional pokedeck?

NICE!!!

(Johto has the three gen I pokemon in its national dex, but then again, all the Gen I pokemon were in that deck, making it very large and, before the V gen, the largest regional deck).

This's the first time that you'll gain 2 starters at the start of the game, though, and the first game that isn't a remake nor an updated rerelease to give out starters from other gens.

Don't you mean "Pokédex", Richard? :P

I find it weird... but what I find weirder is this.
I almost thought it's a pre-evo for Absol, but... it looks too different to be related to Absol... in my opinion.

There are rumors that Inkay evolves in that way and that Pancham evolves into Pangoro if there's a Dark-type Pokémon in the party.

We'll probably find out tomorrow? :o

That's the exact same form of Mewtwo I saw 2 months ago!

Mega Mewtwo. That new form.

Also that form is apparently the X form. You get the Y form in the other game. I read it somewhere on Bulbapedia.

Maybe wrong about the second part. But now I am totally sure that I was not wrong about the second Mewtwo form.

Also, it was just revealed recently. Does that mean I can use Future Sight at will?

This is really weird. I get random flashbacks (or maybe flashforwards) about events in the future and it really happens! That way, I found out the answer to the question on my history test.
Happy Chinese New Year to all of you at DRPF!

According to Serebii, Mega Mewtwo X is exclusive to Pokémon X while Mega Mewtwo Y is exclusive to Pokémon Y.
Which means that you're not wrong at all, Kushagra. :)

...

Also, those Starter Pokémon's evolutions D:
Chespin's evo looks more like a Pignite now! D:
Fennekin's evo... uh, yeah. It looks strange to me. :-\
Froakie's evo looks awesome, in my opinion. :))

Also, those three Pokémon retain their types.
(Chespin's evo is pure Grass, Fennekin's evo is pure Fire, and Froakie's evo is pure Water.)

Fennekin looks like an angry fox girl wearing a skirt.

Chespin became a giant Balloon! What the heck?!?!?

Froakie became a......badass boss. Wow. My favorite starter got the most awesome evolution, in my opinion.

This is the list of Pokemon that will Mega Evolve. I got it from a Leak from my friend, who says its a Pokemon magazine that isn't really all that famous.

I'm probably going to repeat some things, but I'll say it anyway.

Mega Garchomp is revealed, with Sand Force as an ability.
Mega Mewtwo X has Steadfast, if Fighting/Psychic, and has a higher Attack stat.

The Japanese names of the Generation VI starters have been unveiled:
Chespin evolves into Haribōgu, and remains a pure Grass-type. It can learn Mud Shot.
Fennekin evolves into Tērunā, and remains a pure Fire-type.
Froakie evolves into Gerogashira, remaining a pure Water-type. It can learn Bounce.

Three new Abilities are also known. Their English names are still unknown.
Freeze Skin: All Normal attacks used by the Pokémon become Ice-type and gain power.
Strong Chin: Increases the power of biting moves used by the Pokémon such as Crunch.
Fur Coat: Halves damage from contact moves.

Aside from the starters' evolutions, four new Pokémon have been revealed.
Torimian was previously spotted in Pokémon Direct. It's a Normal-type with Fur Coat as an ability, and its appearance can change by a new game mechanic known as "trimming".
Nyaonikusu has some rather large gender differences: the male is mainly white and can learn Extrasensory. The female is mainly blue and can learn Miracle Eye. I believe they are Psychic type.
Chigorasu is a Rock/Dragon-type Fossil Pokémon with Strong Chin as an ability.
Amarusu is a Rock/Ice Pokémon that has Freeze Skin and can learn Aurora Beam. It's probably another Fossil Pokémon.

The Fairy type is, in terms of offense:
Strong against Fighting, Dark and Dragon
Not very effective against Steel, Poison and Fire

Defensively, it:
Resists Bug, Fighting and Dark
Immune to Dragon
Weak against Poison and Steel

Also, Steel no longer resists Dark and Ghost.

Team Flare is lead by five scientists: Kuseroshiki, Momiji, Bara, Korea, and Akebi. They are seeking a "beautiful world", apparently.

...

Well, guess we'll have to wait until October to find out all the new Gen VI Pokémon.

Fennekin looks like an angry fox girl wearing a skirt.

Chespin became a giant Balloon! What the heck?!?!?

Froakie became a......badass boss. Wow. My favorite starter got the most awesome evolution, in my opinion.
Fennekin is my favourite Kalos starter, but that evolution is weird.
Froakie's evolution looks epic.
Chespin... first he reminds me of Oshawott. Then he evolves, and reminds me of Pignite. What.

This is the list of Pokemon that will Mega Evolve. I got it from a Leak from my friend, who says its a Pokemon magazine that isn't really all that famous.
If this leak is actually true, then Wayne is going to be angry, I guess.
Here's my proof - and Serperior and Gardevoir get Mega Evolutions, according to said leak.

I'm probably going to repeat some things, but I'll say it anyway.
Repetition is useful sometimes. :P

Mega Garchomp is revealed, with Sand Force as an ability.
Mega Mewtwo X has Steadfast, if Fighting/Psychic, and has a higher Attack stat.
It looks like Mega Mewtwo Y has Insomnia, is pure-Psychic, and is a Special Attacker.

It can learn Bounce.
... Chespin, why :'(

Freeze Skin. That is my new favourite ability. :))
I wish Pikachu had it, though. ^_^"

Oh... well, that's somewhat neat. Rock/Ice and Rock/Dragon, those are two unique type combinations, aren't they?

The Fairy type is, in terms of offense:
Strong against Fighting, Dark and Dragon
Not very effective against Steel, Poison and Fire

Defensively, it:
Resists Bug, Fighting and Dark
Immune to Dragon
Weak against Poison and Steel

Also, Steel no longer resists Dark and Ghost.
AWESOME! :))
Now Spiritomb and Sableye have a weakness! :)
Which means that if anyone tries to hack those Pokémon to have Wonder Guard... it's going to be a waste if they end up having to battle a Fairy-type Pokémon!

Team Flare is lead by five scientists: Kuseroshiki, Momiji, Bara, Korea, and Akebi. They are seeking a "beautiful world", apparently.

...

Well, guess we'll have to wait until October to find out all the new Gen VI Pokémon.
Yeah.
Or Game Freak could be nice and slowly unveil all the other new Pokémon until then.

What.
They may look weird, but even so, what matters is the bond between a Trainer and their Pokémon.

Well out of the said Pokemon in the image:

This is the list of Pokemon that will Mega Evolve.
So far we have the following covered:

-Venusaur
-Charizard
-Blastoise
-Kanghaskhan
-Mewtwo X and Y
-Ampharos
-Blaziken
-Mawhile
-Absol
-Garachomp
-Lucario

Tell me if I missed any. Wayne is not gonna be happy for Gardevoir/Galade and Serperior.

Also I hate the fact that everyone likes Charizard and Blastoise. Weren't they good enough before the MEGA MANIA arrived? No one likes Venusaur because of how it LOOKS.

I don't care how a Pokemon looks like. I like it for the power. Charizard will fall down and cry at the mere sight of stealth rock! Fire is weak to Rock. Flying is weak to Rock. And besides Charizard, there are so many other options! Volcarona evolves only once and it still manages to live better than my Charizard. It can't even stand one of the most common moves in game! Stealth Rocks I mean god just why is this no god please why Nintendo just shut up.....

Going by that pic, it seems that almost all starter Pokémon will get Mega Evolutions.

Nothing important, really; it's a competition of some sort. Prizes are for people of the United States only.
A code-hunt or something like that.

I'm going to see if I can convince my parents to preorder the game for me as my birthday gift.

That way, I'll have an extra container to put my games in (A pokeball shaped one at that. :P ).

Wild Aurorus and Tyrantrum appeared!
Go! Samurott and Staraptor!
Wild Aurorus used Freeze-Dry!
It's super effective against Samurott!
Samurott faints!
Tyrantrum used Head Smash!
It's super effective against Staraptor!
Staraptor faints!

...

Yeah, I couldn't resist. :P
But seriously, an Ice-type move that's super effective against the Water-type? AWESOME. :))

Watching videos about the game's demo, do you guys know that this game actually marks the return of the talking Pikachu as seen in Pokemon Yellow (and the two Stadium games if you connect Yellow to it)?

Only, this time, all of the Pikachus "talk"!

I knew it, thanks to the TV Tropes page of Pokémon X and Y.
And, apparently, some of the older Pokémon will get new cries too, like Gen I and Gen II Pokémon.

If you count revamped cries as new ones (I think it's related to how the game treats Pokemon cries, since it appears that they're now more expressive depending on the situation).

Strange enough, wild Pikachu were actually common in that demo. :o

Well, some Pokémon from Gen I had exactly the same cries.
Rhyhorn has the exact same cry as Charizard in the games.
And those Gen I / Gen II cries sound a bit... strange, for a 3DS game, I guess.

Wait, wild Pikachu were common in the demo?
...
Maybe that was just for the demo?

Yes, I also think it was only for the demo, but I was just saying...

PK's journal: "Apparently, there are a lot more Pikachu here than in other regions, as they appear to be very common."

I'm double posting because I'm in a hurry.

As mentioned above, Honedge's evolution is unveiled.
However, there are also new mechanic changes.
What.
Seriously?

Doublade is just a copy-paste-recolor of Honedge! >:(

Um.
Doublade is one of my favourite Gen VI Pokémon.

Only 16 days before the release of X and Y.
Hope there's more than 40 new Pokémon though.
