The previously rumoured Pokémon "Orotto" has been confirmed by movie-goers. Reports say it looks like an angry tree with spider-like legs.
So, an entirely new Generation VI Pokémon is revealed in ExtremeSpeed Genesect: Mewtwo Awakens.
I wonder if it's a Grass/Ghost Pokémon? ???

I can't even put into words how hyped up I am.  :D

If only I had a 3DS...maybe if I save up my money for the rest of the year, I can afford a used one...

Anime news and game news.

Honedge using Shadow Sneak is awesome. :3
Well, Pokémon appears to be immune to smashing :P

Either way, I had hoped there'd be more Pokémon known, like the evolutions of the Starter Pokémon.
But alas, no such luck~ :(

THEN THIS IS GOING TO BE AWESOME!

If these rumors are true...

THEN THIS IS GOING TO BE AWESOME!

... But those are merely rumors. No facts yet. :-\

Most of it's probably going to be fake. Let's see...

Quote from: PokéJungle
There are supposedly 130 new Pokémon
Chespin @Lv.18 ➔ Shinnut @Lv.36 ➔ Chinken (Grass/Dark) - Chespin supposedly becomes more armoured with lengthened spikes, and becomes Defense orientated
Fennekin @Lv.18 ➔ Kinduples @Lv.36 ➔ Feuensis (Fire/Psychic) - Fennekin becomes bigger and has a necklace like thing of will-o’-wisps
Froakie @Lv.18 ➔ Ribburai @Lv.36 ➔ Crokssin (Water/Fighting) - Froakie remains slim and becomes like a ninja, it is a very fast Pokémon
I don't want another Fire/Fighting starter evolution, so as long as those are the types that the Kalos starters will evolve into, I'm happy. Or if they evolve into types like Grass/Fairy, Fire/Ice and Water/Dark. Or something like that. :P

Quote from: PokéJungle
Litleo @Lv. 15 ➔ Blazic (Fire/Poison) @Lv. 32 ➔ Mantiroar (Fire/Poison)
Helioptile @Lv. 35 ➔ Solaragon (Electric/Dragon)
... That'd be unexpected.
I bet you'd love the Fire/Poison Pokémon if it turns out to be true, eh? :P

Quote from: PokéJungle
Screeclaw @Lv.30 ➔ Whyrill @Lv.45 ➔ Noivern
Fletchling @Lv.14 ➔ Talonflame @Lv.30 ➔ Scorchawk
Swirlix @Moon Stone ➔ Candilix (Fairy)
Spritzee @Moon Stone ➔ Apothingo (Fairy/Flying)
Clauncher @Lv.28 ➔ Cannoclaw (Water/Electric)
Skrelp @Lv.28 ➔ Weeslep
... What.

Quote from: PokéJungle
There are supposedly 7 legendary Pokémon: Xerneas, Yveltal, a third cover Pokémon that looks like a snake with Poison/Rock typing, a Fairy-type trio based on spirits of natures (Fire/Fairy, Water/Fairy and Ground/Fairy), and a final odd-looking Pokémon. No details on event Pokémon
Well, there are X and Y Pokémon. If this is true, then the "third cover Pokémon" will be the Z Pokémon, probably.

Quote from: PokéJungle
A minotaur with Fairy/Fighting typing with an incredible Attack stat, it is a psuedo-legendary.
A three stage dolphin line with Water/Psychic typing
A fire ant line that consists of three Pokémon, Bug/Fire
Another three stage line with Dark typing based on jaguars
Electric/Dark Cheetah
Captain Jack Sparrow didn't say what, I did. :P
On the unlikely event that these rumors are true, weirdness is going to happen.

Quote from: PokéJungle
Honedge is a standalone Pokémon
Expected as much, but GameFreak knows what they'll do.

Quote from: PokéJungle
A nymph Pokémon
... Probably Fairy-type?

Quote from: PokéJungle
Mawile, Sableye, Farfetch’d, Dunsparce and Qwilfish all receive evolutions
Poor Hugh. His hair already makes him seem like a Qwilfish, but if Qwilfish evolves, will Hugh's hair evolve too? XD

Quote from: PokéJungle
Miltank, Taurus, Throh, Sawk and Audino all receive prevolutions
If it's true... Tauros and Miltank will probably have the same pre-evolution.

Quote from: PokéJungle
Mewtwo has two forms
Expected that; I saw it somewhere. (Not sure where; can't find it either.)

Quote from: PokéJungle
Eevee receives a Poison-type evolution known as Toxeon
If this is true, Taylor's going to be so happy that I'll actually become scared of her.

Quote from: PokéJungle
Orot is Grass/Ghost type
I assume they're talking about that tree Pokémon from Movie 16 (the one with Genesect)?

Quote from: PokéJungle
Mawile, Clefairy, Milotic, Mincinno gain fairy(Pikachu will not)
So their evolutions won't gain Fairy-typing? :o
Azumarill will be pure Water? WHAT.

Quote from: PokéJungle
The first route in the game is home to Fletchling and a currently unannounced rodent Pokémon, which is said to live underground and evolves into a Normal/Ground Pokémon
Usually the first route of any main series Pokémon game is home to a Flying-type Pokémon and a rodent Pokémon, if I remember correctly.

Quote from: PokéJungle
Santalune Forest is where Spewpa, Scatterbug and Pancham are found
Wow, another early Fighting-type. So where's the level 8 Axew?

Quote from: PokéJungle
Your journey across Kalos begins by visiting Lumiose City, travelling west towards the coast, looping back round missing the desert, returning to Lumiose City over to the west
... I'm confused by this...

Quote from: PokéJungle
Team Flare’s hideout is said to be the desert
Makes sense. It'd make even more sense if it was at a volcano.

Quote from: PokéJungle
The Pokémon League is the castle near Vaniville Town
So close to home?! :o

Quote from: PokéJungle
There is an area of Kalos that is not accessible until the post-game
Just like Unova in Black and White 1.

Quote from: PokéJungle
The Gym Leaders of Kalos are claimed to be: Viola (Bug), Danica (Fairy), Clemont (Electric), Grant (Rock), Jet (Flying), Petunia (Grass), Blaise (Fire) and Lilith (Dark)
Whoa whoa whoa what.
Viola, I know is the first Gym Leader. But Danica, Jet, Petunia, Blaise, Lilith... they're probably fake. (If it isn't, it would be weird. And due to have watched Supernatural at some point in time ago, I can probably guess why "Lilith" is mentioned... but wouldn't that be idiotic in some way? Who knows...)

Quote from: PokéJungle
Kalos Elite Four is supposedly: Elizabeth (Bug), Charles (Psychic), Louis (Ground) and Isabella (Ice). Each based on royalty
WHAT.

Quote from: PokéJungle
The Champion (Mixed Types) is stated to be Professor Sycamore
WHAT.
If this is true, though... then it'd be awesome.

Quote from: PokéJungle
Fairy is super effective against Dragon, Dark and Fighting. It is weak to Steel, Ice and Poison
I think it would make sense. Why do I think so? :o

Quote from: PokéJungle
Team Flare are said to want money and are willing to take advantage of Pokémon to gain it. There are multiple sources of energy in Kalos and Team Flare are said to be manipulating them to make more money, a process which involves Pokémon
So Xerneas and Yveltal exist for that?

Quote from: PokéJungle
Fairy Wind has a base power of 60 and has the same effects as Ancient Power, Silver Wind and Ominous Wind
Who can tell.

Quote from: PokéJungle
Utter Darkness is a Dark-type version of Earthquake
... Will it cause the BLINDNESS status effect? :P

Quote from: PokéJungle
There will be an ability which negates the effects of Spikes and Stealth Rock
Some people will like that.

I'm now 1000% certain that these rumors are fake, to an extent. I mean, Viola being the first Gym Leader is true, Fairy being super effective against Dragon is true, Mewtwo having two new forms (I remember saying it *SOMEWHERE*, but I can't remember where) is (hopefully, if I wasn't in a parallel universe) true...

Urgh... my head hurts from trying to remember where it was officially stated that Mewtwo got two new forms... :-\

Oorotto has been spotted!
... I am so calling Grass/Ghost type :P

If these rumors are true...

THEN THIS IS GOING TO BE AWESOME!

... But those are merely rumors. No facts yet. :-\

Most of it's probably going to be fake. Let's see...
Like I've said, those are merely RUMORS.

Fire/Fighting is getting annoying, I agree... but Fire/Ice?! WHAT.

Quote from: PokéJungle
Litleo @Lv. 15 ➔ Blazic (Fire/Poison) @Lv. 32 ➔ Mantiroar (Fire/Poison)
Helioptile @Lv. 35 ➔ Solaragon (Electric/Dragon)
... That'd be unexpected.
I bet you'd love the Fire/Poison Pokémon if it turns out to be true, eh? :P
So much yes :P
Those are my favourite types.
Although I'd like a Poison/Dragon Pokémon.

Quote from: PokéJungle
Screeclaw @Lv.30 ➔ Whyrill @Lv.45 ➔ Noivern
Fletchling @Lv.14 ➔ Talonflame @Lv.30 ➔ Scorchawk
Swirlix @Moon Stone ➔ Candilix (Fairy)
Spritzee @Moon Stone ➔ Apothingo (Fairy/Flying)
Clauncher @Lv.28 ➔ Cannoclaw (Water/Electric)
Skrelp @Lv.28 ➔ Weeslep
... What.
Your response is just a flat what?

Well, I like the jaguars and cheetahs that are rumored.

Yeah...

Quote from: PokéJungle
A nymph Pokémon

Ninfia. Nymph.
Yeah, a nymph Pokémon would have the Fairy type, maybe a secondary type as well?

Quote from: PokéJungle
Mawile, Sableye, Farfetch’d, Dunsparce and Qwilfish all receive evolutions
Poor Hugh. His hair already makes him seem like a Qwilfish, but if Qwilfish evolves, will Hugh's hair evolve too? XD
That'd be hilarious! :))

It'd be weird if Bouffalant gets related in this somehow.

Unova doesn't, afaik.

I dunno.
Wait, what level 8 Axew? ??

Wasn't Lilith a demon there? I don't watch it, so I'm merely guessing.

WHAT.
Ooh, icy.

I agree. Sycamore is the first Pokémon Professor you can battle, so maybe this IS true?

Do you know that these two games are the first mainline games available as a legitimate digital download (as well as a retail game)?

Now you do.

Pokémon X & Y will be 1.7GB (approx 14000 blocks) when downloaded via the Nintendo eShop.
Wonder if that's just one game or both that has that size? :o

Unless you have a rom and a 3DS emulator, then yes.
Happy Chinese New Year to all of you at DRPF!

And currently, the only 3DS emulators in existence are fake.

...

Wait, Pokémon X and Y are that large? :o
Whoa.

A lot of the retail 3DS games are big.

The retail carts themselves can hold from 2GB to 4GB of data.

The Wii U disks holds the same as Blueray disks (ie, about 22GB), meaning, Wii U games can and will be big, if it's available both in disk form AND in downloadable form.

Wow. That's... a lot.

Do you have a 3DS, or did you just check some website which has the information?

Both.

Still trying to save up for a Wii U, though.

The fact that I've been spending my money doesn't help.

Finally more news!

In short, there are now "Mega Evolutions" (Mewtwo, Lucario, Ampharos, Blaziken, Mawile and Absol are the only Pokémon who were mentioned to be able to Mega Evolve), Mawile has been retconned to Steel/Fairy type, there's two new Gen VI items that are mentioned (Blazikenite and Mega Stone, apparently), there's a Master Tower facility, there's a new Gym Leader who knows about Mega Evolution, there's a new method called "Super Training" that increases the EV of a Pokémon, and there are three new Pokémon revealed: Me'ēkuru (evolves into Gogoat), Dedenne (probably another Pikachu Expy, I guess), and Horubī (it probably learns Dig).

Everyone'll have to wait for next month to learn the new type chart, though.

Cheek Pouch: If a Pokémon with this Ability eats a Berry during battle, it will not only reap the usual benefits of that Berry, but will also be able to regain HP.

So, two of the new Pokémon has a great ability. :o

Dedenne can learn Nuzzle, a damaging Electric-type move that may cause paralysis.

EDIT: Basically the same as above.
Also, the Mega Evolution page. Why? Because Lucario and Absol look awesome, in my opinion. :)
Mawile looks as though there's a second fake mouth though. :o

Well. Bunnelby, Dedenne and Skiddo. Those are pretty... odd.
But Mawile being Steel/Fairy? It's to be expected.

Interesting.

Dedenne can learn Nuzzle, a damaging Electric-type move that may cause paralysis.

It is. Mega Mawile looks scary. Will it have Mawilenite, like there's Blazikenite and Lucarionite?
I like Mega Lucario not, Mega Absol looks cooler.

... Is it just me or are Pokémon trying to become Digimon somehow?

It looks as though that Kangaskahn's kid will take part in battle starting Generation VI.

For those who don't want to click the link, it has recently been revealed that Kangaskhan can Mega Evolve.
The baby Kangaskhan emerges from its pouch and participates in battle, which is something I didn't expect. (I'd thought it'd be a new Pokémon... but I guess not.)
Mega Kangaskhan has the ability Parental Bond, apparently allowing it to attack twice.

Yes. Mega Kangaskhan can attack twice.

Well, I think they're cool!

Besides, if a video of a video game developer talking about Kangaskhan's mega evolution (which involves the baby going out of the pouch and participating in battle, thus allowing it to attack twice) is any indication, as well as an official trailer showing of the mechanic, it's pretty much confirmed that it's real.

Well, I'm already sad, because I'm very certain that if there's a Mega Raichu, it won't be Electric/Ice type. :(

...

Funny thing is, when I first read the name "Mega Evolution", I thought, 'what, will there be four-stage evolutions now? Does that mean Pokémon like Raichu and Staraptor and Hydreigon will be able to evolve somehow?' but then I read on... and then the Fire Nation attacked.

In other words, I became angry. And then I noticed Absol and Lucario's Mega forms, and... then I became unangry. (Well, that's the first word that came to mind. :P)
...
To be honest, if somehow I ever play Pokémon X and Y, I won't be using Mega Evolutions, UNLESS I consider the Mega Evolutions to be really cool looking. (And so far, only Absol and Lucario are my favourites so far. And I don't think there'll be more.)

...

If Infernape gets a Mega Evolution, I'm going to bet my five elements that it'll look similar to a Super Saiyan from Dragon Ball Z...

...

...

...

Just wish this Pokémon's English name and types are made known soon...

Also, I just noticed that Delibird has Insomnia as its Hidden Ability although it already has access to another Ability with the exact same effect - Vital Spirit.
Talk about redundant... :))

Mega Mewtwo. That new form.

Also that form is apparently the X form. You get the Y form in the other game. I read it somewhere on Bulbapedia.

I'd assume that Mega Mewtwo having two forms is false information added via a person who wanted to add unconfirmed rumors, especially since Balbanews (its sister site that hosts Pokemon-related news) doesn't mention it.

I know I saw somewhere that it was confirmed that Mewtwo had two new forms (which, as it turns out, is the Mega Evolutions) but I can't remember where.
Either that, or it was quickly changed to hide the second form, because I can remember it had to do with the 16th movie (with the Genesect)... :-\

SO MUCH CONFUSION @_@

Apparently, there's some sort of Pokémon Direct announced for tomorrow at 4am PDT, according to Bulbapedia. :o
Wonder what it's going to be about?
Aidan "the Eternal Darkness" is deceased...
I am still full of sorrow... my boyfriend, dead...

... I had no idea there was going to be a Generation VI.

I ought to go research this new Generation. And then figure out which Pokémon I consider my favourites.

... Is it just me or are the Bulbapedia Pokémon pics a bit... weird?
Or is it my browser that's acting up?

...

Anyway, I prefer Chespin. I generally choose the Starter Pokémon that I remember the easiest.

... And apparently, Mega Evolutions...?
Seems pretty strange...

Yeah, I don't like the Mega Evolutions very much...but eh, it's a mechanic. It's not like I'll be forced to use it. ^_^;
