If I remember correctly, in South Africa most subjects are enforced until the tenth grade, or something like that.
I know my school had 9 subjects until a student got to the tenth grade, which was when he/she got to choose what subjects he/she could take. Although English, Life Orientation, Mathematics and Afrikaans or Xhosa was enforced, apparently. (That's how I remember things...)
Until then, Arts and Culture (Visual Arts, Music, Dance, and something else that I have forgotten), Economic Management Sciences, Natural Sciences, Social Sciences (History + Geography), Technology, Life Orientation, English, Mathematics, Afrikaans/Xhosa were the nine subjects. (Certain classes took Xhosa while others took Afrikaans.)

Anyway, good luck with your exams, Kushagra!

Yes, Taylor, we have to wait. It would be rude if we didn't wait.
