Well, Yveltal's confirmed to be part dark-type, so you could be right about it representing death (and Xernias representing life).
It is the Destruction Pokémon, and destruction is usually associated with death, isn't it?
Meanwhile, Xerneas is the Life Pokémon. Wonder if it knows Arceus? :o
... Although for some reason I almost thought Xerneas was related to Keldeo, Cobalion, Terrakion and Virizion. :))

What do you think of Dragon Ball Z?
